If your old boiler is on its last legs, it is time to start planning and saving for the installation of a new boiler.
Getting a Quote
The first thing you need to do is call up a couple of boiler companies and have them come out and inspect your old boiler and set-up. Let them know what you are looking for and what type of upgrades that you are thinking about.
An inspector will come out to your home to look at your entire set-up. Installing a new broiler is not just about changing out the broiler itself, it can also involve upgrading other related systems, which is why the most accurate quotes happen when someone comes out to your home to inspect the set-up.
Accept a Quote
After you have a few quotes, examine the price, features, and warranties that each quote provides you with. Choose the quote that fits your budget and provides you with the service and products that you want to put into your home.
When you accept a quote, you will be asked to sign an acceptance letter, which signifies your intention to move forward with the quote.
Once you have accepted a quote, the boiler company is going to send out an inspector for a final survey. During the final survey, the inspector will measure out everything in your home to make sure that the boiler will fit correctly.
Once the final survey has been done, you will be send a detailed letter or contract. This letter or contract will explain in detail the work that will be done, how long it will take, and what it will cost. The contract will state the dates that the work will be done. It will also include information about any warranties that the installation company offers as well as warranties that the product includes.
You will need to sign the final contract and make a deposit to finalize the boiler installation process. The contract should also state when your payments will be due.
Once your contract is received, supplies will be ordered and the new broiler will be installed on the agreed upon date. Depending on the extent of work that needs done, this process can take one day to a couple of days. This information should be provided in the contract.
Finally, installation day will arrive. You may want to be home for the installation process so you can help with any issues that arise. The installers will install the new equipment, clean up any mess they make, and test out the system before finalizing the installation process.Share
